Examining the number of Committees operating within the organization is a mundane sounding subject if there ever was one. Given the amount of time currently allocated to frequently having overlapping committees functioning, often suggests a significant need to reduce the amount of time, talent and energies expended in redundant busy work.
Peer feedback when solicited, frequently indicates at least a portion of these committee activities are wasteful in the extreme. By diverting management and staff from high value objectives leaders can readily waste valuable resources in bureaucratic red tape.
